A 44-year-old Harker Heights man was arraigned Wednesday on a felony charge of possession of methamphetamine, less than 1 gram, by Justice of the Peace Bill Cooke.

According to an arrest affidavit, Peter R. Reiss was arrested after Heights police discovered he had an active warrant out of Killeen. Police said they found a lighter, syringe and a baggie of what they believed to be methamphetamine on his person during a search.

The methamphetamine was 1.4 grams with packaging, according to the affidavit.

Cooke set Reiss’ bail at $20,000.
