Killeen police are investigating two Monday morning robberies they believe may have been committed by the same person.

An armed man walked into the Mickey's convenience store, in the 3800 block of East Stan Schlueter Loop at about 12:20 a.m. Monday.

The man demanded cash and fled, Killeen Police Department spokeswoman Carroll Smith said.

About 7 a.m., a man robbed the Krystal's Burgers, located in the 2400 block of South W. S. Young Drive.

In both cases, the robber wore dark-colored pants, a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt and concealed his face with a red bandana. After robbing each business, he fled in a red Pontiac, Smith said.

Police believe the robber is either a light-skinned black or Hispanic male.

Smith could not confirm whether the person in the Krystal's Burgers robbery was armed.

Police are asking anyone with information about these incidents or a suspect to call KPD or Crime Stoppers at (254) 526-TIPS (8477) or go to www.killeencrimestoppers.com. Tips also may be made by texting to CRIMES (274637). Make sure to put the word "KILLEEN" in the text message along with the tip.
