A 33-year-old man is facing felony assault charges after he allegedly threatened a woman with a knife.
Eugene Lorenzo Wright was arraigned Tuesday on a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon by Justice of the Peace Garland Potvin.
According to an arrest affidavit, Killeen police were dispatched to a residence in the 3600 block of Christie Drive at 11:10 p.m. Sunday.
According to an arrest affidavit, a man outside the residence told an officer that he was trying to pick up a female inside the residence, but that a man would not let her leave.
The officer knocked on the door, but the man — later identified as Wright — refused to open it. Wright eventually opened the garage door.
The officer found the female inside the bathroom, shaking and crying. She said Wright said he was going to kill. The woman said Wright was holding a knife over his head and making stabbing motions, the affidavit stated.
Police found a knife on top of a microwave behind the garage’s interior door.
Potvin set Wright’s bond at $100,000.
The following individuals also were arraigned on unrelated charges Tuesday:
- Daniel Shane Kiser, 26, on a charge of forgery by passing. Kiser’s bond was set at $20,000.
- Anthony Michael Brown, 17, on a charge of criminal mischief more than $1,500.
