Copperas Cove police are asking for the public’s help identifying a man they believe committed two armed robberies in the past month.

Police describe the suspect as a slender black male in his late teens or early 20s between 5 feet, 10 inches and 6 feet, 2 inches tall. During robberies he has worn all black, including a black mask, hooded sweatshirt, gloves and black shoes with gray soles.

Copperas Cove police are asking for the public’s help identifying a man they believe committed two armed robberies in the past month.

Police describe the suspect as a slender black male in his late teens or early 20s between 5 feet, 10 inches and 6 feet, 2 inches tall. During robberies he has worn all black, including a black mask, hooded sweatshirt, gloves and black shoes with gray soles.

Detectives believe the same man is responsible for an Aug. 9 armed robbery of a 17-year-old male in a parking lot in the 300 block of Cove Terrace and a robbery of the Dollar General located in the 800 block of North First Street.

In both robberies, the man was armed with a black handgun. He took personal property from the victim in the Aug. 9 robbery.

In the Dollar General robbery, he took an undisclosed amount of money as well as personal property from two women.

Copperas Cove police are asking anyone with information about the robberies or the suspect to call Crime Stoppers at (254) 547-1111 or go to www.tipsubmit.com.

Tips can be made anonymously, and a tip leading to an arrest may be eligible for a $1,000 reward.
