Harker Heights police charged a 20-year-old woman with felony assault after police said she hit a man with her car, pinning him between the vehicle and a trailer.

Police charged Genesis Nyshea Gadson with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon for allegedly hitting a man with her car Monday on Stillhouse Lake Road.

Police went out to the area after receiving a call of a shooting to find the alleged victim, a man, lying on the ground, an arrest affidavit stated.

A witness told investigators the man had been standing next to Gadson’s vehicle telling people in the vehicle to leave the property. The vehicle then drove forward, hitting the man and pinning him between the car and a trailer, the affidavit stated.

Police arrested Gadson near the intersection of Rancier Avenue and 12th Street in Killeen on Thursday. She admitted to driving the vehicle when it struck the man, the affidavit stated.

Justice of the Peace Bill Cooke arraigned Gadson on Friday, setting her bond at $100,000.

Cooke also arraigned Franchesca Daneice Lee, 29, on a charge of debit card abuse. Lee’s bond was set at $20,000.
