A local woman was arraigned Thursday on a felony drug charge after police found drugs in her car and in her bra.

Danica Roshell James, 25, of Killeen, was arraigned on a charge of possession of methamphetamine in an amount of less than 1 gram by Justice of the Peace Garland Potvin Wednesday morning.

Potvin set James’ bond amount at $20,000.

James was riding as a passenger in a vehicle pulled over by a Killeen police officer Tuesday.

A narcotics dog, Rezno, “alerted” on the vehicle. Police found a syringe filled with red liquid sticking out of the passenger side visor where James had been sitting, an arrest affidavit stated.

A field test kit revealed the liquid to be methamphetamine.

Later, an officer at the Killeen City Jail witnessed James pull an additional syringe from her bra, the affidavit stated.

Potvin also arraigned Maria Luisa Figueroa, 33, on an unrelated charge of theft of property in an amount of $1,500 or more, but less than $20,000.

An arrest affidavit stated that Figueroa stole jewelry from her roommate with an estimated worth of more than $3,000 and sold the items at local pawn shops.

Potvin set Figueroa’s bond amount at $20,000.
