Killeen police interview a man about a robbery on Taft Street Tuesday.

Two men were detained by Killeen police Tuesday in connection with a robbery in the 2700 block of Taft Street.

According to a Killeen Police Department spokesperson, a man was walking from a nearby store around noon when he was approached by two men.

The victim said the men threatened him, and appeared to indicate they had a gun. “He said ‘I will shoot you,’ but I didn’t see a gun,” the victim told police at the scene.

The two men pushed the victim down and took his phone and an unknown amount of money before fleeing.

Police located both men in the 1600 block of Becker Drive and took them to Bell County jail Tuesday afternoon. Their names were withheld, pending arraignment.
