A Fort Hood soldier who pleaded guilty to federal explosives charges earlier this month will be sentenced in March.

Spc. Jason Alan Garthwaite Sr., of Copperas Cove, is scheduled to be sentenced at a hearing in a federal court in Waco March 18, according to court documents.

Garthwaite was charged of possession of an unregistered destructive device by the U.S. Attorney's office after investigators found bombs and bomb-making materials in his home Sept. 11. Garthwaite pleaded guilty to the charge Jan. 23.
