A local woman is missing home electronics and other items after her Harker Heights home was burglarized Christmas Eve.

Police responded to a report a burglarized home in the 200 block of Spanish Oaks Drive in Harker Heights at 12:27 p.m. Dec. 24, reports stated.

The occupant, Alice McCuistion, was not home at the time of the burglary. A relative who lived next door contacted police after she heard dogs barking, went to check on the home and found the door open, according to Harker Heights police.

Items taken from the home included an iPad, televisions and jewelry. The stolen items were worth of about $2,500, according to police.

As of Thursday, no suspect was arrested in connection with the burglary.

A 2004 blue Chevy pickup with tinted windows was seen in the area, police said.

Wednesday’s burglary was one of seven unrelated home burglaries that took place on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day in Killeen, Harker Heights and Copperas Cove.

Three of the burglaries, including the one at McCuistion’s home, took place Tuesday, including a burglary without forced entry in the 1400 block of Indian Trail in Harker Heights at 3:30 p.m., and a burglary with forced entry in the 3300 block of Lakecrest Drive in Killeen at 10:30 p.m.

Christmas Day burglaries also included one at 3 a.m. in the 300 block of Cedar Crest Drive in Killeen and another at 5 p.m. in the 1300 block of Toliver Street also in Killeen.

The Copperas Cove Police Department reported two burglaries Wednesday. Those included one at 9:52 a.m. in the 1600 block of Pleasant Lane, and another at 3:48 p.m. in the 2200 block of U.S. Highway 190.
