Gunshots fired at a car traveling through downtown Killeen led to a multiple vehicle accident Sunday afternoon, Killeen Police Department spokeswoman Carroll Smith said.

No one was seriously injured in the incident.

“The man said as he approached the intersection of Fourth and Rancier, four black males in a white Dodge pickup shot at him several times,” Smith said.

As the victim approached the intersection of 10th Street and Veterans Memorial Boulevard, he ran a red light causing an accident that involved three vehicles.

Two victims in the accident were taken to the hospital with minor injuries but released shortly afterward.
