Killeen police need the public's help to identify a suspect believed to have stolen a vehicle from a local convenience store in June.

Police were dispatched at 11:53 a.m. on June 24 to the Star Mart Convenience Store, 4002 Watercrest Road, after receiving a 911 call about a stolen vehicle, a Wednesday news release said.

The victim, who owns a white Nissan Altima, told officers he went inside the store, and when he came back out the car was stolen. The vehicle was recovered unoccupied later that afternoon by patrol officers, the release said.

Detectives obtained surveillance video and are looking for the suspect. Anyone with information should contact Bell County Crime Stoppers at 254-526-TIPS (8477) or go online at www.bellcountycrimestoppers.com.

You can also download the P3tips app for iOS and Android and provide an anonymous tip. All information is anonymous and confidential. A tip leading to the arrest of the suspect could be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000 cash.
