One of three teens allegedly involved in an aggravated robbery and car theft was arraigned in a Killeen courtroom Monday.
Marion Cortez Robinson was arraigned on an aggravated assault charge stemming from an Aug. 15 robbery at gunpoint near the intersection of 38th Street and Turner Avenue.
According to the arrest affidavit, Robinson, 17-year-old Xavier Jevon Reese and a third suspect who has not yet been identified stole a green Cadillac from a man at gunpoint. Police said the victim pulled his car up in front of a home in the 3800 block of Turner. One of the suspects approached his car and asked for a cigarette. One of the suspects pulled out a handgun, pointed it at the victim and demanded his valuables, including his wallet phone and car. The three drove off in the car, and the victim chased after them. The suspect allegedly fired four shots at the victim.
Police eventually tracked down the three suspects who were found in Reece’s grandmother’s apartment. Robinson’s bail was set at $100,000.
In an unrelated case, Coryell County Justice of the Peace Bill Price arraigned Bonnie Louise Caldwell on Sunday on a charge of unauthorized use of a vehicle. He set her bond at $3,000. She allegedly borrowed a car at a Killeen bar without permission.
