TEMPLE — A man was shot Sunday morning following an argument. After the argument started, another man allegedly left, returned and shot the victim in the leg, a Temple Police Department incident report said.
Daniel Phuoc Le, 35, of Temple, was arrested in connection with the Sunday shooting.
Officers went to the 5100 block of Sandstone Drive at 2:20 a.m. for the report of an aggravated assault. The first investigation showed the victim and Le were arguing. Le reportedly left the scene but came back with a handgun and shot at the victim, striking the 34-year-old man once in the leg.
Le remained in Bell County Jail on Monday. Bail was not set by press time.
Separate report of stabbing
Police also are investigating the report of an aggravated assault with a knife that reportedly happened at 10:52 p.m. Saturday after an unrelated argument, according to incident reports.
Officers went to the 1100 block of South Main Street.
The investigation showed the victim and someone known to the victim were arguing when the second person pulled out a knife and cut or stabbed a 49-year-old man several times.
The victim was treated at Scott & White Hospital for wounds that were not believed to be life threatening.
The stabbing is under investigation. No arrest was made by press time Monday.
