COPPERAS COVE — A woman suspected of cutting a man’s sweat pants from his body didn’t remain in Coryell County Jail after her arrest Friday.

Justice of the Peace Bill Price arraigned Shanikque Monique Beaugard on Friday on a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Price set her bond at $20,000. Cove police arrested Beaugard after responding to a domestic disturbance about 4:30 a.m. in the 500 block of Lincoln Avenue.

The victim of the incident told officers he and Beaugard got into a argument “over another female,” an arrest affidavit stated. The victim attempted to leave the home, but he and Beaugard supposedly began to struggle over a cellphone.

Eventually, Beaugard allegedly left the room and returned with a kitchen knife, the affidavit stated.

She then reportedly went after the victim and cut off his sweat pants, the affidavit stated.

According to police, the victim had several scratches on his body, including his right forearm.

Justice of the Peace John Guinn arraigned the following:

Victor Jerome Cozart III on Wednesday on charges of attempted burglary of a habitation and tampering with evidence with the intent to impair. Guinn set his bonds at $23,000.

Dejah Nicole Onica Wyche on Wednesday on a charge of attempted burglary of a habitation. Guinn set her bond at $15,000.
