COPPERAS COVE — A Cove woman suspected of felony thefts at H-E-B Plus and Walmart remained in Coryell County Jail on Monday. Police arrested her Friday.

Justice of the Peace John Guinn arraigned Shannon Lynn Case on Saturday on two charges of theft, less than $1,500 with two or more previous convictions, and a charge of possession of a controlled substance, less than 1 gram. Guinn set her total bond at $22,500.

According to the arrest complaint, police were contacted by the Walmart loss prevention officer who said he saw Case leave the store without paying for some items. The officer described the vehicle in which she left the scene and told police officers it was headed toward Killeen.

Police located the vehicle, carrying Case and several unopened store items, in the H-E-B Plus parking lot, the complaint stated.

When officers asked her about the items, she admitted to stealing them, the complaint stated.

Items allegedly stolen from both stores were valued at $103. Police discovered Case has two previous convictions and are seeking felony charges.

During Case’s arrest, police said they found a blue bag, a flashlight and two pipes with trace amounts of crack cocaine in them. Case admitted using the flashlight to store cocaine, the complaint stated.

Guinn also arraigned the following:

Sarah Rebecca Stirnkorb on a charge of possession of a controlled substance, less than 1 gram. He set her bond at $10,000.

Cimmerron Julian Trujillo on a charge of possession of marijuana, more than 2 ounces but less than 4 ounces. Guinn set his bond at $7,500.

Herman Moses Phillips on a charge of burglary of a habitation with intent to commit assault. Guinn set his bond at $20,000.

Kelvin Jamal Whitmore on a charge of fugitive from justice. Guinn did not set a bail. Whitmore reportedly is wanted on a Suwannee County, Fla., warrant.
