COPPERAS COVE — Police arrested a woman suspected of threatening a man and his family with a knife after she was released from Killeen police custody for running around the city naked.
Coryell County Justice of the Peace John Guinn arraigned Lori Ann Mitchell on a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Guinn set her bond at $20,000.
A male victim told Cove police Mitchell allegedly was off her medication when police were called to a home in the 30 block of Karen Sue Circle at 1 p.m. Sunday, an arrest affidavit stated.
Mitchell allegedly was dropped off at the victim’s house after she was taken into custody in Killeen for running around naked.
The victim took Mitchell to get clothes, but when they returned, she became angry and allegedly grabbed a knife and started chasing the victim, the affidavit stated. During the pursuit, Mitchell reportedly yelled that she was going to kill the victim and his brothers. The man eventually got the knife away from Mitchell before police arrived.
In unrelated incidents, Guinn arraigned the following people on the following charges:
Tina Marie Pina on Saturday on a charge of abandoning or endangering a child with intent to return. Guinn set her bond at $10,000.
Pina allegedly left a 4-year-old child outside a home in the 1200 block of Phil Avenue at 8 p.m. Wednesday, stated an arrest affidavit. A neighbor discovered the young girl.
Dean Arthur Hynes on Saturday on a charge of possession of a controlled substance, less than 1 gram. Guinn set his bond at $5,000.
Katherine Christine Brown on Friday on a charge of forgery of a financial instrument. Guinn set her bond at $7,000.
Rebecca Faye Harris on Friday on a charge of possession of a controlled substance, less than 1 gram. Guinn set her bond at $7,000.
