Flights in and out of Killeen-Fort Hood Regional Airport were suspended until 3 a.m. Thursday morning after a military plane became disabled on the runway around noon Wednesday.
Fort Hood spokesman Christopher Haug said the C-5 Galaxy, the largest plane in the Air Force, was performing “touch and goes” at Robert Gray Army Airfield out of Kelly Air Force Base when the crew reported a shudder in the front nose gear upon landing.
