I know it it unlikely but what would really be great would be if they didn't turn it into another Killeen by adding a bunch of the same fast food joints every town has. What we don't have that would be awesome would be a local homemade ice cream shop like Amy's in Austin or higher quality restaurants we could bring out of town friends to. A clean well kept new/used bookstore would be nice as well. Hopefully the coffee house they're talking about would be a nice local place and not another Starbucks.

I can understand the housing project going up, especially where there is land that should be used for something. Why bring in another pizza restaurant, convenience store, and another coffee shop? Pizza Hut is already right there and we also have a Valero and the HEb Gas right there on that side. We actually have 3 Starbucks locations in town. Why not bring in something we dont already have like Taco Bell, Burger King, or a Baskin Robbins? Seriously, how many Burger Kings are here? You have to drive all the way to Fort Hood, Rancier in Killeen or Belton. Those are the closest locations.BRING SOMETHING THAT WE DONT ALREADY HAVE!!

Has anyone thought about bringing Baskin - Robbins back into the area.
Harker Heights sure could use a nice ice cream shop.
