COPPERAS COVE - High school and junior high students from the Copperas Cove Independent School District and their families are invited to a college fair from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at Copperas Cove High School, 400 S. 25th St.

Representatives from colleges and universities from around the state, along with branches of the armed forces, will be present to provide information for students to explore options beyond high school.

“Planning for life after high school can be stressful and it takes help,” said CCHS senior counselor John Avritt.

“Families can also get some great information about the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, FAFSA,” Avritt said. There will also be opportunities for students to learn about local scholarships, meet a military benefits expert, and receive information on CCISD’s Early College Program.

“My hope is that by having this event we can make the process less stressful and put our great students in front of these universities and give them a chance to see what is available to them after high school,” Avritt said.
