College to enforce meningitis vaccine rule for spring

CTC students must get shot or provide proof of exemption before registering for Jan. 14 term

Central Texas College students taking classes in the spring will need to show proof that they have been vaccinated for bacterial meningitis before they are allowed to register.

The college said Thursday they will be strictly enforcing the new state regulations, passed last year, which require students to have an initial bacterial meningitis vaccination or booster during the five-year period preceding, and at least 10 days prior to, the first day of the semester.
