The Central Texas College Continuing Education department is registering for its July classes. A variety of courses ranging from personal development, exercise and computers to cooking are available. Some of the classes offered include:

Facebook 101 for Small Business: More and more businesses are using Facebook to promote their business and reach out to potential new customers. Learn how to integrate this social networking tool to connect your business or organization’s media strategy. The class is from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. July 26. The cost is $25.

Investments for Beginners: Discover how to invest beyond savings and checking accounts. Students will learn the basics of what stocks, bonds, mutual funds and derivatives are and how they work. The class meets Monday and Wednesday, July 21-23, from 6 to 8 p.m. The cost is $25.

Math for College Success: Learn the fundamentals of algebra in this refresher course. Class focuses on real numbers, variables, linear equations and inequities, systems of equations, integer exponents, complex numbers, quadratic equations and more. The class meets Saturdays, July 12 to Aug. 2, from noon to 4 p.m. The cost is $45.

Jazzercise: The class offers a blend of jazz dance and exercise science with easy-to-follow choreography. The class includes a high-intensity aerobic workout, muscle toning and strengthening. The Tuesday and Thursday class meets July 1-31, from either 9:15 to 10:15 a.m. or from 5:35 to 6:35 p.m. The Monday and Wednesday class meets at the same times July 2-30. The cost for either class is $29.

Water Fitness Training: Develop strength and flexibility while improving posture. The class combines Pilates and yoga movements modified for the water. No swimming skills are necessary. The Friday class meets July 11 to Aug. 1 from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. The Saturday class meets from 10:15 to 11:15 a.m., July 12 to Aug. 2. The cost for either class is $15.

Salsa Dancing: The beginning class focuses on basic steps, turns and combinations and the intermediate class will work on improving skills by building on the dance combinations. The beginning class is Mondays, July 7-28, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. The intermediate class is Wednesdays, July 9-30, at the same time. The cost for either class is $29.

Date Night Dining: Make a special meal full of romantic tasty delights. The menu includes brushetta, chicken or steak Diane, and linguine with butter and crème brulee. The class is July 12 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The cost is $49.

Belly/Oriental Dance: Learn the basic moves of this mesmerizing Middle Eastern dance. Class focuses on flexibility and muscle isolations, improving posture and fundamental moves. The class is Monday and Wednesday, July 23 to Aug. 18, from 6 to 7 p.m. the cost is $35.

Zumba: With high-energy and motivating music, the class combines the principles of interval and resistance training to maximize calorie burn, fat burn and total body toning. The class is Monday and Wednesday, July 14 to Aug. 6, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. The cost is $29.

Hula for Health: This fun Hawaiian-style fitness program incorporates easy-to-perform hand and body movements with Hawaiian/island music and rhythmic chants. This body conditioning routine helps build muscular strength and endurance in the legs, abs, arms and hips while strengthening the core and improving overall cardiovascular health. The class is Tuesday and Thursday, July 1-24, from 6 to 7 p.m. The cost is $35.

Basic Bookkeeping: Students will gain a basic understanding of reports including balance statements, profit and loss statements, reconciliations, assets, liabilities, journal entries and payroll issues. The class meets Monday and Wednesday, July 7-16, from 2 to 4 p.m. The cost is $45.
