A massage can bring relaxation to tired muscles and refresh the body.

Central Texas College offers a licensed massage therapy program and will be hosting an open house and orientation for the program Thursday.

Considered part of CTC’s continuing education department, the licensed massage therapy program is approved by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board.

The program includes 550 hours of classroom training and a 50-hour internship.

Graduates of the program are prepared to sit for the state of Texas licensure examination.

The open house and orientation will allow prospective students to get a feel for the program and instructors.

Classes for the licensed massage therapy program begin Jan. 22.

The licensed massage therapy open house is free and open to the public.

It will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the massage therapy classroom, No. 134, in CTC’s building 136 on the corner of Clear Creek Drive and Central Texas College Drive.

More information is available by calling CTC at 254-526-1586.
