The Killeen ISD Education Foundation will host its annual Starmakers Academic Recognition banquet at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Killeen Civic and Conference Center.

The event celebrates the top 10 academic achievers from all four Killeen Independent School District high schools.

Each student will be accompanied by a teacher whom they considered to be a major role model, encourager and influence in their education.

At the banquet, a student and two finalists will be announced as the winners of the Kliewer Family Leadership award, totaling $10,000.

“The Starmakers event marks the end of the program year for the foundation,” said Joyce Hodson, director of the KISD Education Foundation. “With the help of our donors, businesses and friends, we’ve surpassed all previous fundraising efforts for a total of over $330,000 this year.”

For more information, call Hodson at 254-336-0181.
