Parents of Maxdale Elementary School students received a letter from the principal on Wednesday.

The letter, written by principal Bobbie Evans, informed parents that a fifth grade student had brought a BB gun to school on Tuesday.

Evans wrote that a number of students reported the incident on Wednesday morning. "School administration immediately conducted a thorough review and notified KiSD police."

No one was harmed in the incident, and appropriate disciplinary action will be taken, including placing the student in an alternative setting.
