TEMPLE — An ambitious group of high school juniors set to dive into college two years early received a strong dose of motivation and a white coat during a ceremony Tuesday that signals the start of a new school year and a new journey.

More than 60 Central Texas students from 11 different high schools, including Harker Heights and Ellison high schools in Killeen ISD, participated in the Texas Bioscience Institute’s annual rite of entrance into the dual credit program.
