Community Impact Day

In an effort to empower high school girls to care for themselves and encourage one another, the Killeen Independent School District hosted a Community Impact Day just for them. A group of 50 girls from the four KISD high schools met Wednesday with community mentors to learn together from a wide range of community leaders. Under the leadership of KISD Community Relations Director Angenet Wilkerson, speakers from military, business and health care sectors encouraged students to make healthy choices.
