GATESVILLE — To help families and individuals prepare for the future, Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service will conduct an estate planning workshop at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Coryell County Courthouse Annex at 201 S. Seventh St. in Gatesville.

Admission to the “All Ages, All Stages … Planning for the Future” workshop is $15 per person or $25 per couple.

Those interested in the workshop are encouraged to preregister, but preregistration is not required. Speakers will provide an overview of basic planning and legal needs to help people transition property, make health care decisions and secure a future for the next generation.

Mark Whitaker, attorney for Baird, Crews, Schiller and Whitaker PC, will offer insight on developing wills and trusts and answer tax questions.

Dr. J.D. Sheffield, a physician with Coryell Memorial Healthcare System, will provide information and education related to medical and health planning.
