Fort Hood Grass Fire

A fire crew responds to a grass fire at Fort Hood Tuesday.

Two fires that  burned at least 200 acres of land on Fort Hood are totally contained.

Fort Hood officials announced that  the fire near Farm-to-Market 116 and Elijah Road was 100 percent contained as of  8 a.m. this morning. Fire crews are continuing to monitor any hot spots.

A fire at a remote northeastern part of the installation's training range was 100 percent contained Wednesday, officials said.

Both fires began Tuesday.
