Fort Hood IDs soldier who died

FORT HOOD - Officials released the name of a soldier who died Saturday from injuries sustained during a motorcycle accident in Killeen.

Spc. Jacob Thomas Rousse, 21, of Fruita, Colo., entered active-duty service in July 2009 as a satellite communication systems operator-maintainer. He was assigned to Alpha Company, 62nd Expeditionary Signal Battalion, since July 2010.

Rousse deployed to Iraq from April 2011 to November 2011.

His awards and decorations include two Army Achievement Medals, National Defense Service Medal, Iraqi Campaign Medal with campaign star, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal and the Army Service Ribbon.
