A man charged in the 2011 killing of a tattoo artist in Georgia was apprehended last week in Killeen.

Terrance Lamont Davis was arrested Thursday by the U.S. Marshals Service Lone Star Fugitive Task Force, Bell County Organized Crime Unit, and the Killeen and Harker Heights police departments, according to a statement from the task force.

Davis is charged with murder in the 2011 shooting death of tattoo artist Andrew Fortune in Lithonia, Ga.

Davis was residing in the 6400 block of Titanium Drive in Killeen when he was apprehended.

The arrest was made in the early morning hours, after Davis was observed leaving the residence in a vehicle. A felony traffic stop was conducted, and Davis was taken into custody without incident, according to the statement.

Davis was taken to the Bell County Jail in Belton and is awaiting extradition back to De Kalb County, Ga.
