GATESVILLE - A Copperas Cove woman was not in Coryell County Jail on Thursday after she was indicted earlier this week on a charge of endangering a child.

A Coryell County grand jury Tuesday indicted Tiana Twitty, 32, on a charge of abandoning/endangering a child-criminal negligence.

According to an arrest complaint, Twitty was responsible for monitoring a 14-year-old boy who reportedly "touched" a 5-year-old girl on Dec. 16.

The 14-year-old was arrested again on Jan. 3, after a 10-year-old female reported that she was sexually abused by the boy, the complaint stated.

After the second incident, police released the boy back in Twitty's care to be placed on "constant supervision" where he "would not be around any other children," stated the complaint.

But in mid-February, a third victim - a 15-year-old girl- reported that the boy sexually assaulted her.

Police interviewed the victim and she told officers that Twitty was in a different room but in the same house when the boy assaulted her, the complaint stated. A witness also confirmed that Twitty was not watching the boy.
