BELTON — A Bell County grand jury indicted a 25-year-old Killeen man on two felony charges after he allegedly fired a gun at another man.

Johnnie Ray Randall was indicted Wednesday on a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, a second-degree felony, and on a charge of unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon, a third-degree felony.

Randall was arrested Tuesday after Killeen police responded to a report of an aggravated assault in the 300 block of Washington Street in Killeen.

A female witness told police a man, later identified as Randall, went inside the home with a handgun, according to an arrest affidavit.

With the woman’s permission, police searched the home and found Randall and a .380-caliber handgun in the tank of a toilet.

Randall, who was injured around his left eye, told police a man struck him in the face, pulled a gun on him and began firing. As Randall was speaking to police, the alleged victim arrived and told officers Randall pulled a gun on him after a verbal argument that led to the victim punching Randall in the face, the affidavit stated.

The victim told police Randall shot at him. A man and a woman present at the altercation confirmed the victim’s account, the affidavit stated.

According to court records, Randall was convicted April 11, 2012, on a felony charge of tampering with physical evidence.

Other indictments handed down Wednesday included:

Terrell Deion Lowe, 20, of Temple, on a charge of burglary of a habitation.

Tevin Lyle Ensign, 21, of Killeen, on a charge of arson.
