Police found an unknown man shot to death early Tuesday morning in front of a Killeen home.

About 1:43 a.m., police responded to a call of a shooting in the 1400 block of East Avenue G where they found a man with a gunshot wound to the chest.

Justice of the Peace Bill Cooke pronounced the victim dead at 2:16 a.m. and ordered an autopsy at the Southwest Institute of Forensic Science.

Police have no suspects and are seeking the public's help with the case.

"Right now we don't even know who the victim is," police spokeswoman Carroll Smith said.

The death is the fourth homicide in Killeen this year.
