Heights Council approves zoning change in rural area

HARKER HEIGHTS – City Council Tuesday approved a zoning change and conditional use permit on a 5.9-acre property on Comanche Gap Road.

The property owner, Tom Wilson, plans to move into the soon-to-be 2,500-square-foot home and his mother-in-law will move into the main house on the property, said Fred Morris, director of planning and development.

“This is getting really popular these days,” Morris said. “Kids are moving in with parents and parents are moving back with their children. You’re seeing that nuclear family come back together.”
