HARKER HEIGHTS — The City Council voted at a Tuesday meeting to include a property tax rate of 67.7 cents per $100 valuation in the fiscal year 2013-14 budget. It is the same as this fiscal year's rate.

Mayor Pro Tem Rob Robinson seconded a motion by Councilman Pat Christ to usher in the unchanged rate.

Finance Director Alberta Barrett also presented the proposed fiscal 2013-14 city budget.

The city will conduct public hearings on its budget and tax rate on Aug. 20 and 27, and will officially adopt the budget and tax rate Sept. 10.
