Killeen issues boil water notice during hydrant work

A boil water notice begins at 7 a.m. today for residents from 501 to 1021 Harris Ave., 615 to 1001 Brewster Ave., residents with even-numbered addresses from 804 to 906 Parmer Ave., residents with odd-numbered addresses from 807 to 1001 Parmer Ave., 720 N. 10th St., 707 N. 12th St., 518 to 809 N. 16th St., 506 to 804 N. 18th St. and 513 to 711 N. 20th St.

Water service will be interrupted from 7 a.m. to about 3 p.m. while city crews replace two fire hydrants and a valve. Crews will flush the lines and test water samples after the work is completed. Residents will be notified after the notice is lifted.
