Killeen police released photos of a convenience store robber Monday, hoping residents know his identity.

A man armed with a handgun robbed the Super Quik Food Mart at 1704 Old Farm-to-Market 440 around 3:15 p.m. March 13, according to Killeen police.

The surveillance photos show a black male as he jumped over a counter. The robber forced the clerk to give him money before he fled on foot, Killeen police spokeswoman Carroll Smith said.

"He's considered armed and dangerous. Don't be going up there and trying to take care of him," Smith said. "The biggest thing is we just need to see if anybody recognizes anything about this guy."

A distinctive jacket could be the key to solving the case. The robber wore a hooded dark jacket with large yellow stripes, a white T-shirt, long blue jean shorts and red canvas sneakers with a white toe.

Killeen police describe the man as about 17 years old, between 5 feet 8 and 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighing approximately 150 pounds.

Anyone with information about this robbery is urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 526-TIPS (8477) or www.killeencrimestoppers.com.
