The Killeen Police Department is asking the public to help identify two suspects connected with the stabbing of a man last Sunday.

According to a statement from the department, officers responded to a 911 call at a 7-Eleven convenience store in the 1000 of block Willow Springs Road.

They arrived to a male victim suffering from stab wounds to his neck. Police said the incident began when a dark-colored Nissan Titan truck pulled up to the gas pumps near the victim.

The driver of the truck rolled down his window and began a verbal altercation, then a male passenger exited the truck and continued the verbal altercation.

The altercation turned physical, and the victim was stabbed multiple times.

The passenger got back into the truck and the suspects — described as white males in their 20s — fled the scene, according to police.

The victim, a 20-year-old Killeen man, was transported to Metroplex Hospital and later transported to Scott & White Hospital in Temple.

He was listed listed in serious condition.

Detectives are asking anyone who can identify the suspects in the stabbing to call the Bell County Crime Stoppers at 254-526-8477, go to www.bellcountycrimestoppers.com, or text BELLCO along with the tip to 274367.

All provided information is confidential and tipsters could be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000 in cash if the tip results in the arrest of those responsible, the statement read.
