Killeen police arrested and charged a man Monday with sexual assault after a woman reported he forced himself upon her.
LaRon Vancleve Williams, 33, remained in Killeen City Jail Tuesday evening. Justice of the Peace Garland Potvin set his bail at $100,000.
Police arrested Williams late Sunday night after police responded to a call of a domestic disturbance at a home in the 3400 block of Sevilla Drive.
Upon arrival, an officer spoke with Williams, who said nothing had happened at the home, according to a police report.
A woman at the residence told police Williams had forced himself upon her. During the sexual assault, she said he hit her in the face and punched her in the stomach.
Police also interviewed children at the residence who stated they heard the woman scream and yell at Williams to stop. The children attempted to stop the assault; however, Williams had blocked the inside of the bedroom door with boxes.
Williams at first denied the assault, but he later told police he had forced sex upon the woman and that he wanted to hurt her.
