A man is in Bell County Jail after police say he violently raped a woman in Killeen.

Lionel Edwin Snow, 26, was charged with aggravated sexual assault and was arraigned Saturday by Justice of the Peace Garland Potvin. His bond was set at $100,000.

Snow was charged after police met with a woman at Scott & White Hospital. The woman told police that a man she knew as "Snow" raped her, according to an arrest affidavit.

The alleged assault took place at Snow's home on Carrie Drive in Killeen. The woman said she met Snow at the home.

While there, Snow struck her in the face, threatened to kill her and held a knife to her throat. He then forced the woman to perform sexual acts, the affidavit states.

The woman sustained injuries to her face, including bruising and lacerations.

At Snow's home, police found dried blood in various locations.
