The Killeen Police Department will conduct a community forum Thursday evening that is open to the public.

The event begins at 6 p.m. at the department’s headquarters at 3304 Community Blvd. in south Killeen.

“If someone has an issue or they want to have face time with the police department, whether it is good or bad, we want to know,” KPD spokeswoman Carroll Smith said. “This is a time for the community to be able to talk with members of the police department.”

The department also will give out awards to two community members who assisted the police department this year.

Police Chief Dennis Baldwin will give a brief presentation and take questions from attendees.

Also present will be City Manager Glenn Morrison, Mayor Dan Corbin, council members and Killeen Independent School District Director of School Safety John Dye. Representatives from the NAACP, LULAC and the Korean American Society also will attend.
