H&B Packing Company, Inc. in Waco is recalling about 73,742 pounds of boneless beef products that may be contaminated with E. coli, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service announced Monday.

The boneless beef items were produced March 6. The following products are subject to recall: 60-pound box containing boneless beef with case code 69029 and production date March 6 and multiple combo bins containing 73,682 pounds of boneless beef with case code 69029 production date March 6.

The products being recalled have an establishment number “EST. M13054” inside the USDA mark of inspection. These items were shipped to food manufacturers within the state.

The problem was discovered when the Food Safety and Inspection Service was notified by the state’s meat safety assurance unit about a positive toxin-producing E. coli sample.

There have been no confirmed reports of illnesses due to consumption of these products.
