One Killeen couple offered up part of their property to several of the homeless people displaced from the lawn of the temporarily closed Friends in Crisis homeless shelter.

On Monday, Michael and Kathryn Evans told several of the homeless people that they could set their tents up in the side yard of their property and that they could hang a tarp from the branches of their tree so they are not in view of the public.
