The current low risk of wildfires has prompted Coryell County to temporarily lift its burn ban.

The burn ban will be lifted from sunrise Wednesday to sunset on Feb. 26, unless other action is taken by the Coryell County Commissioners’ Court.

The restriction against burning if winds are forecast to be 23 miles per hour or greater remains in effect.

The county sheriff’s office should be notified at 254-865-7201 by those planning to conduct a burn.
