A cyclist in Killeen was airlifted to Scott & White Medical Center in Temple Monday afternoon after running into a car on Fort Hood Street.

A black Chevy Cruze was leaving the Taco Bell at 1313 S. Fort Hood St. when the rider ran into the car, according to media reports.

The cyclist, who is 25 years old, was transported to the hospital in stable condition, but has since been released, according to Killeen police spokeswoman Ofelia Miramontez. The driver of the car was not hurt, police said.
