More than 1,000 voters have taken advantage of early voting in Bell and Coryell counties, according to county election officials.

Coryell County saw 1,020 voters cast ballots in the first six days of early voting. On day six, 129 voters filed ballots with 46 being posted in Copperas Cove and 83 in Gatesville.

In Bell County, day six results showed 147 ballots were cast Monday and 179 on Tuesday. That gives the county 1,292 ballots in the first seven days of early voting.

Lampasas registered 36 voters Tuesday during a 12-hour day of voting.

Early voting continues today through Friday in Bell County from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. In Coryell and Lampasas counties, voting continues through Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
