Early voting in the March 6 primary election entered its second week Monday, as 1,993 residents cast ballots for county, state and national office at six polling locations.

Another 20 mail-in ballots were received, bringing the daily total to more than 2,000.

The total for eight days of early voting in Bell County has topped 7,200, with voting continuing through Friday.

In Coryell County, 275 votes were recorded Monday bringing the total to 1,977.

Lampasas County voters cast 195 votes Monday, and the county received 17 mail-in ballots.

Bell County polling locations will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day through Friday.

Polls in Coryell and Lampasas counties are open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
