BELTON — Zachary David Flores, a former Fort Hood soldier from Tennessee, arrived at the Bell County Jail on Saturday after his extradition from Fort Campbell, Ky., on a warrant for the alleged sexual assault of a local teenage girl.
Flores, 25, was being held in lieu of $100,000 bail.
Flores is one of three soldiers charged with sex crimes against a girl who is now 16 years old.
Until recently, Flores was stationed at Fort Campbell, Ky., Bell County Special Crimes Unit Director Lt. Michele Cianci said. A warrant was issued Sept. 30 for his arrest and extradition.
Cianci investigated the Feb. 22 complaint a 16-year-old girl originally made against Pio Joseph Tumanuvao. The girl was interviewed by the Children’s Advocacy Center, an arrest affidavit said.
Cianci talked with the victim March 3. The girl said in October 2015 at the age of 15 she met Flores and had sex with him in the backseat of his truck and again about Feb. 14 in a Bell County motel.
The teenage girl was shown a six-person photo group and identified Flores as the man she knew as Zayden Flores.
A hotel receipt from the River Forest Inn in Belton dated Feb. 18 confirmed a room was rented to Flores.
Arrested and charged earlier with sex crimes against the teenage girl were Cristhian Martin-Munoz, 28, arrested earlier in October, and Tumanuvao, 22, who was arrested in April on a charge of indecency with a child by sexual contact.
Tumanuvao was released from the Bell County Jail after posting bail in the amount of $25,000.
The girl said she and Martin-Munoz met in July 2015 and had sex two or three times a month at various places in Bell County until his deployment in October 2015.
