Pledges totalling $1.525 million toward the 14 Forward 2018-2022 Economic Development Initiative were announced Friday by the Greater Killeen Chamber of Commerce and 14 Forward Volunteer Leaders.

The most recent pledge came from the Fort Hood Area Association of Realtors in the amount of $30,000.

The 14 Forward Initiative is a private-sector driven supplement to the Greater Killeen Chamber’s economic development program of work. The five-year plan is centered around the goals of growing business and investment, promoting Fort Hood and strengthening infrastructure to improve quality of place.

“We are incredibly pleased with the business community’s response to this effort,” said Bill Kliewer, 14 Forward co-chairman.

Atlanta-based Power 10 Capital Campaign Operations will continue overseeing the fundraising effort and is confident the campaign's $2 million goal will be reached in 2018.

More information about the 14 Forward Initiative is available on the website: killeenchamber.com/14_forward.
