The spring semester of the Patio Cafe Cuisine Nights dinner series at Central Texas College will start with a menu featuring French cuisine on Friday night.

The dinner, which is prepared by students enrolled in the International Cuisine class under the CTC Hospitality program, will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the culinary arts area of the Student Center.

Diners will start off with appetizers, which include choices of salmon rillettes, French onion soup, house salad and nicoise-style chopped salad. Prices for appetizers range from $2 to $8.

Entree choices include chicken Diane, red snapper en papillote, and French pork with apple cream sauce. Two side dishes of either French gratin potatoes, wild rice with mushrooms, green beans or ratatouille come with each entree. Entree prices range from $14 to $17.50.

To finish off the meal, diners can choose between the chocolate crepes Suzette or the raspberry clafoutis for desert. Prices for deserts are $6.50 and $5.50, respectively.
